31 Days of May ~ Day 9

9.  Something I'm proud of in the past few days.

I'm proud of my husband for the sacrifices he's been making for our family.
Josh, you're amazing.  You've been going to school and working full time for the past two years and getting great grades also.  Thank you for everything you've sacrificed and for all the time and hard work you've put in.  I'm so very proud of you and so proud to call you my husband.

I'm proud of the relationship I have with my parents.  My mom really is one of my best friends.  She and I went down to Spanish Fork to spend Friday and Saturday together and to see my grandma for Mother's Day.  The three of us went to Thanksgiving Point Friday to the last day of the Tulip Festival.  I have only been to the Children's Garden there so I was really excited to go the other garden.  It was gorgeous.  We ate at the Trellis Cafe before we went in and the food was delicious, they have the best sweet potato fries!  Being Mother's Day weekend, it was packed.  Since it's been so cold some of the tulips hadn't opened yet and some of the other flowers and plants had frostbite on them but it was still beautiful.  It was such a fun day spending time with two of the most important Mothers in my life.  And the weather was perfect!
All the different areas and different gardens were so pretty.  I loved the entrance into the Secret Garden.
And the flowers...
We went back down to Springville and spent some time with my Aunt Amanda and her family.  It was Ashlin's 15th birthday so she was having a huge birthday party at her house with a bunch of teenagers.  It was so nice to sit and visit with all of them.  We spent the night at my grandma's.  She and Earl love having us there and make sure we have everything we need.
Saturday my mom and I went shopping at Tai Pan, got me some Tom's for my  Un-Mother's Day
(so excited for these!)

got Josh some new scrubs and watched Elizabeth's last dance competition.  She did so good and while her mom is happy the competitions are over I'm going to miss watching her...until next year.
We headed home after and stopped at Red Lobster for coconut shrimp.
Josh and I went down to Salt Lake to celebrate Mother's Day with his mom on Sunday.  Everyone came except Austin, who had been there earlier.  We had dinner and had a good time being together.  Lucy woke up and finally warmed up to Josh to let him hold her.  All the kids had so much fun playing together.
Happy Mother's Day to my mom.  Thank you for everything you've ever done for us.
Happy Mother's Day to Josh's mom.  Thank you for everything you've ever done for us and thank you for raising your son to be such a great husband.
We love you both so much.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there.
A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.
~Washington Irving

All that I am or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.

Oh I love you my sweet girl! Those mother poems are BEAUTIFUL! Thanks so much for being there with me Friday and Saturday. We always have so much fun together and it tickles grandma to death that you'll leave Josh to come see her. Thanks so much for keeping me from losing my mind at Red Lobster and thank you for seeing to it that I was okay before I went home. I'm so glad and so very lucky that we have such a close relationships. I truly do consider you one of my best friends!
