MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Merry Christmas!! We hope everyone had a good one. It was a busy 4 day weekend!! It has been a busy month for us. We've had a Christmas party to go to on every weekend this month not that we were able to go to all of them but December is always busy!! I went to my Gma Pat's Christmas party on the 16th and it has been non stop since then! On Saturday night we went to my Gma's Christmas Party and on Sunday we had breakfast at my mom's before my sister and Bryan left to go back to Twin Falls. On Sunday afternoon we went to see a movie with my mom and my brother and sister in law. We got to stay home on Christmas Eve because of the snow storm. We played Bingo that night with Cody and Tara and their families and went to their house afterward to play Halo. Always fun to spend time with them!! We were supposed to go to Brigham to my Gpa's Christmas party but we didn't want to drive through the canyon in all the snow. And then today we spent most of it at my mom and dad's and then went to Brigham to see my Gpa and Gma Porter. It was crazy!! Not much time was spent at home but it was fun!! I am so grateful for all of my family! I love you all very much!! I love the true meaning of Christmas. I am grateful for Christ and all that he did for all of us. I am grateful for the gospel and what it means in my life. I am grateful that families can be together forever. What a wonderful time of year!!!

The Weekend With My Favorite Kids

This weekend I went down to Sandy to see my favorite kids, Noah, Elizabeth and DJ. I had my Grandma's Christmas party to go to on Sunday and Josh wasn't feeling well so my mom and I went down on Friday afternoon. So I got to spend 2 days with my favorite kids. We had so much fun. I miss those kids and love them so much!! We hung out on Friday night and watched TMNT. All 4 of us squeezed into Noah's bed with DJ the flopper and Elizabeth the kicker and one heck of a snorer! Needless to say, none of us slept very well. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Noah was getting so mad at her. Elizabeth fell asleep in the matter of minutes once we laid down and her head was turned toward him. He kept saying " her breath stinks and I can't sleep with her snoring next to me!". It was so funny! I was laughing so hard.On Saturday morning Elizabeth had a Christmas dance recital. She did so good!! She was the best dancer in her group. She knew every step and the other 2 girls in her group were looking at her for the steps. I am so proud of her. I love watching her dance!! She is so cute!!

Look how cute she is!! Elizabeth and her friend Maddie.

Elizabeth's Christmas Dance

After the Christmas recital, I took Noah and Elizabeth to see Enchanted. It was such a cute movie and Lu loved it!! Then that night we watched Elf (All 4 of us again squeezed into Noah's bed!!). When I first started nannying those kids, Elf, The Lord of The Rings and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the one with Johnny Depp) were Elizabeth's favorite movies. We watched Elf like a million times. She could recite it and she was 3 years old!! I miss watching it with her. So that was fun. After Elizabeth fell asleep, I went shopping with Shannon (their mom, my cousin) at the mall. It was fun spending time with her without the kids. I had so much fun spending time with them!!

We had cake and played a mean game of Bingo. Josh won a Hot Wheels airplane.:) Tara got some cool gifts. It was so fun. Tonight we went to Blackstone for dinner to celebrate. It was so good. Lazy Weekend

We didn't do much this weekend. Just stayed home and hung out with the animals. We went over to Cody & Tara's on Friday night and watched the Jazz kill the Lakers. It was so fun. It is so fun having friends close by to do things with. They are always fun to hang out with! Nothing better than spending the weekend with the ones I love the most. Ringo likes to wake me up at 6 am no matter what day it is but on the weekends I make him wait for a couple of hours so I can sleep in. He is pretty good about it but if he starts to get too hungry or have to go outside, he will start to lay his upper body on my back or push into my back depending on what position I'm in. He never bothers Josh though!!! Just his mama!! It's a good thing he's cute!!
We went over to my brother's for dinner today for Sunday dinner. We usually go up to my mom and dad's but decided to have it at Jade and Brittiney's today. It was nice for a change. I love living closer to my family so I can see them more often. My mom and dad adopted a dog named Roxy. She is so sweet! She got to play with Jade and Brit's dog Daisy. Roxy
Roxy & Daisy playing tug-o-war

My dad and Roxy love each other. It is so good for my dad to have a bigger dog. They have two little pomeranians but my dad likes big dogs. He loved having Wrinkles live at their house. Roxy gets into bed and cuddles with my dad. She knows the way to his heart!!

How We Got Sammy

Sammy is the baby of the family. He is almost 1 year old. We also got him from my mom. He was from the last litter my mom's cat Jasmine had. She died about a month ago. He was born while we were all gone to a Christmas party up in Heber, Ut. When my mom got home the kitties were born. We went to my mom's on Christmas and Josh picked him out. He was so cute. Just this little puff ball. Then after about a week Josh decided he didn't want him anymore. But you can't tell me we can get an animal and then tell me we can't. So I still got him. He was so scared when he came to our house he would sit on my shoulder as I walked around the house and he would sleep right under my chin at night. He did not like the big dogs and Meow wasn't very nice to him. But now he picks on Meow and is bigger than her. He is such a purrer. Our family is complete with him.

How We Got Meow

Meow is 4 years old. We got her from my mom. She is a light calico cat and has long hair. She is not very social. She doesn't like to be touched unless it's on her terms or else she will claw you good. I have had many scratches from her. But lately she is becoming more friendly. She loves to give Ringo baths and to lightly sratch me in the middle of the night so I will pet her.

How We Got Ringo

Josh always wanted a Dalmatian and when he was younger he had one for about one day. But he couldn't have him at the apartments he lived in so he had to give him away. Then one day Josh was looking at the classifieds and there was a listing for a 4 1/2 month old male Dalmatian. We went to see him and he came running out to us, this adorable, awkward puppy. He peed all over my feet and I was wearing flip flops!!! At that moment we knew we wanted him so he came home with us. He was this cute, big puppy and he sat on my lap all the way home. Josh was so excited to have his Dalmatian. He was a hard puppy. He would make me cry cause he would bite and pull my hair. He scratched a hole in the wall of my in-laws home. He scratched holes in the carpet. He ate my cell phone. He scratched a hole in our mattress. He was BAD!!! When we would take him out to potty he had to be on a leash, and he would run so fast that it felt like our arms were going to be pulled out of the socket. Josh has said that if it weren't for me he would have gave Ringo away cause he was so much to handle, but now he is our baby boy. He is 5 years old now. He sleeps in bed with us along with all the other animals. He is on a very tight schedule of eating and pooping by his own choice. He is my alarm clock in the morning cause he eats right when I get up. At 6 am he starts getting restless and will sit up and stare at me. Then if I don't get up he will start to jump around on the bed to make sure I get up. At night he is a spaz, too. Starting at about 6 pm he starts to follow me around the house, right under my feet until it is 6:30 then he eats. He is always so happy after he eats. In the morning after we've gone outside he will come get back in bed and roll around and make his funny noises. He is such a fun dog. He is very cuddly. He always wants to be in between his mom and dad. He can drive us crazy but life wouldn't be the same without him!

How We Got Wrinkles

Wrinkles is the oldest so I will start with her. She is a Shar-Pei/Lab mix. She is almost 8 years old. I got her in June of 2001. I had wanted a Shar-Pei ever since I saw my uncle's Shar-Pei. I thought they were so cute because of their wrinkly skin. I saw an ad in the paper one day saying " Wrinkles needs a new owner, her's went to jail" and then it gave a description of her. So I called on her and drove up state to where she was and got her. I was so happy to get her. She was so cute. I just fell in love with her. The woman who Wrinkles was living with gave me the background on Wrinkles. She said Wrinkles lived with her husband who she was seperated from. She also said her husband had abused Wrinkles. He would pick her up and throw her across the linoleum floor and she would slam into the cupboards in his kitchen. And to this day whenever we move and there is a slippery floor she won't walk on it for a few days unless she has to, and even then she does it very slowly and keeps her distance from anybody. But once she's used to it she is fine and will jump on the floor to play with her brother and sister kitties. He spray painted her pink for Halloween the year before and there was still some pink paint in her tail. I felt so bad for her and was excited to get her home where I could take care of her. She is such a good, sweet dog. She still gets nervous around men but will eventually warm up to them. She LOVES her Grandpa. He just spoils her and she gets so excited when he and Grandma come over. Josh and I just love her.

All You Need Is Love

This is a page about two humans and four tails. We are Josh and Kandice (the humans), Ringo and Wrinkles (the dogs) and Meow and Sammy (the cats). Josh and I have been married for over 4 years now and have been together for 6 years. It doesn't seem like it's been that long and yet it seems like it's been forever. I am so blessed to have Josh as my husband. He is the best husband a girl could wish for. All You Need Is Love has been our motto since day one and Josh is a HUGE Beatles fan, so it just fits. We are excited to share our lives with all of our friends and family!!!
