(Since blogger deleted this whole post, I'm going to add more to it.)
I don't have certain playlists for certain moods. I just put my iPod or iTunes on shuffle and let it choose the music for me and if I'm not feeling the song it chooses at the moment...skip.
Music has always been a big part of my life. I remember my first cassette tape I bought with my own money, although now that I think about it, it was probably my parents' money...anyway it was Amy Grant. I loved dancing around my room at night listening to Baby Baby. I remember my first CD, Wilson Phillips. I love music and I love the way it gets associated with things in my mind and can take me back to another time in my life. Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Prince all take me back to my childhood. I had really cool parents growing up who listened to really cool music and when they would go out for a weekend night, I thought I was the coolest kid because my brother, sister and I would put their music on and turn up my dad's Kenwood surround sound that was his pride and joy and have dance parties in our front room. Yep, we were the coolest.
Counting Crows, Jewel, John Mayer and Steve Poltz will always remind me of when Josh and I first started dating. He has great taste in music and has made me love some really cool artists. Steve Poltz's One Left Shoe will always hold a special place in my heart, I fell in love with Josh listening to that CD over and over.
Anyway, here's a list of some of the music I love.
Alanis Morissette is always my number 1. I've been listening to her since I was 13. I was so excited to get Jagged Little Pill for Christmas along with a walk-man so I sat in the recliner all the rest of Christmas Day just listening to that album and was in awe. She was so angry and I loved it. She's been with me through my first relationship and break up and all the others after that. I've absolutely loved every concert I've ever been to. And Under Rug Swept will always remind me of Josh.
I love Pink. She is just the coolest.
I love The All-American Rejects. It's good music when I'm mad or frustrated and good cleaning music.
Counting Crows are a favorite. They were amazing in concert and Adam Duritz is a genius.
Modest Mouse is weird at first but I love them. They make me happy.
Glee, love Glee.
Kings of Leon are one of my new favorites, and I say new because I've been listening to most of these artists and bands since I was a teenager so they are "new" to my playlist.
Jewel is amazing. Her voice is perfection and she's so cute. Her concert was one of the best I've been to...just her and her guitar, it was awesome.
Adele is a constant in my life right now. Her new album 21 is so dang good.
Here are some of the new ones I'm into.
Manchester Orchestra "Simple Math" is so dang good.
The Head and The Heart
Mindy Gledhill
Christina Perri
Mumford & Sons
Anyway, there's just a sampling of my current playlist...

Music has always been a big part of our lives - don't get me in a music trivia game 'cause you'll lose!! BTW, we still have the "Kenwood." It's in our bedroom now LOL. I can't ever hear Alanis without thinking of you ... riding in the BIG van listening to Jagged Little Pill and me thinking it was kind of naughty music (look at how times change). I tear up every time I hear Steve Poltz "Everything about you" as I think about your beautiful wedding. LOVE YOU!
I love Adele! I totally considered that name when we were pregnant too...it is a pretty unique one.
yay!! Good list.. LOVE IT
