Disneyland Day 2

Friday morning was supposed to be our early morning park entrance day, which means we get to go into the park at 7am before it opens up at 9am.  We had plans of getting up early so we could hit the Matterhorn and some other rides that are so crowded and don't have fast passes.  Jason was going to make sure we were all up.  Well 7am came and went and we didn't get into the park until 10am, we were tired from the day before.  Jaimee said Jason did get up early but decided to go back to bed.
We started our day in Adventureland.
We walked right up to Indiana Jones and there was no line.  Just as we approached the pulled the ropes out saying the ride broke down, great.  So we rode the jungle boat to waste some time.
We saw the elephants playing in the water.
The lion pride eating their latest kill.
And hippos.
We tried Indiana Jones again, still broke down.  We headed over to the Haunted Mansion and luckily there wasn't much of a line.  I loved it!  It was all done up with The Nightmare Before Christmas.
It was a lot of fun and one of my favorites!
We went to go get some breakfast afterward.  We got some yummy french toast and eggs by Indiana Jones, waiting for it to re-open.  The ride was still shut down so the kids wanted to go ride Thunder Mountain.  The name alone scared me.  Then the kids told me it was one of their favorites and that scared me more.  They assured me it was fun so I gave it a try.  We left Brodie and our purses with Jason and got in line.  It's a train that goes around a mountain really fast and it was awesome!  I loved it!  I wish we could have gone back to ride it again but the line was so long after that.
Then we headed over by Splash Mountain.  Josh, Jason and the kids all got fast passes for Splash Mountain and had to wait a while for their time frame so we went on Winnie The Pooh.  It was so cute!
As we were coming out of the tunnel, a bird pooped on the back of Jason's neck!  Oh my gosh, we laughed so hard!  Jason got pooped on in Pooh!
Josh, Jason, Alex and Kaleb went back to Splash Mountain and I went and walked through the gift shop for a minute.  Then Jaimee, Brodie, Tristan and I went up in front of Splash Mountain to watch them come down.
Kaleb is in front and Josh is behind him "choking" him.  Then Jason and Alex.
We got fast passes for Indiana Jones and walked over to Tomorrowland to check out Space Mountain, that line was always so long.  So everyone who wanted go (not me) got fast passes and we went on Star Tours while we waited for their time.  They finally got to ride it and Brodie slept in the stroller while we waited for them to come out.  They loved it, I hate that roller coaster.  Roller coasters and darkness do not spell fun for me!
We went into Innoventions and played for a while.  We played on the Kinect, aged ourselves and looked at all the other cool things they had in there.
 The Matterhorn
We walked back over to Indiana Jones for our fast pass time, shut down again.  NO Indiana Jones for us.
It's A Small World was closed while we were there, bummer.  I really wanted to go on it!
Then we headed into Toon Town!!  I definitely remember Toon Town from being there as a kid, I thought it was so cool!
The Electric Door.
Tristan & Kaleb got put in jail.
Then we went to find Mickey.  We had heard he was in his house so we went there.  Josh is so excited!:)
Then we walked through Mickey's movie screening room where Steamboat Willie was playing and waited our turn to go in a meet Mickey!
We met Pluto.
And Kaleb got behind the wheel of a car.
There were some casualties.
The kids went and played in Goofy's backyard while we rested our feet.  They had so much fun.  Then we headed back to the room to rest and get some dinner before Mickey's Halloween party that night!  We were all so excited for that!

I love looking at your pictures! The photos with Mickey are priceless! It's amazing how times have changed. I think we took like three rolls of film (35mm)when we went to Cali when you guys were kids, and we never knew if they were going to be good or not. One of my very favorite photos of you though is you with Mickey when you were about 4 and grinning from ear to ear ... now you're all grown up and still grinning from ear to ear. That is the magic of Disney!
