Saturday Drive

I wanted to go do something today instead of sit home so we decided to drive up to Porcupine Dam and see what it looked like since neither one of us had ever been there. I love just getting in the car and going on an adventure with my husband...that's what we did last year for our anniversary and had so much fun ending up in Sundance. So we got to Porcupine Dam and drove around it for a minute. It was pretty up there! It's a little winding road to get there but definitely pretty. When we turned around on the winding road around the reservoir, I thought for sure we were going in the lake. Josh turned us around on this ledge that was slanted toward the water! I think I stopped breathing for a minute until we got turned around safely!! I did get a picture though!! Always gotta have the camera! Then when we left we saw this a sign that said Liberty 13 miles...I never knew there was a town called Liberty here in Cache Valley. So we were curious to see it. We drove forever on a gravel and dirt little canyon road trying to find it until Josh realized we were getting low on gas!! And the closest gas station was like 30 miles in the opposite direction!! I definitely did not want to run out of gas out there!! It would have be like Deliverance...I could hear the banjo playing!! So we finally found a wide enough spot to turn around and headed back towards home! Never got to see Liberty but will have to go back and find it. There was a sign before we passed one of the many cattle guards that said something to hunters about hunting deer, elk, moose and LION!! That's what the sign said "LION"!! We didn't see any...I'm guessing it's mountain lions! That would have been really fun to run out of gas out there, get picked up by the Deliverance people and get fed to their mountain lions!! That was our adventurous day!

Right as I thought we were going to end up in the lake...can't really tell from the picture how steep it was!!

We saw this really old Cache Valley sign

Josh's Weight Loss Chronicles

Josh started a biggest loser competition at our gym about a month ago and has been doing so well on it. He has lost about 25 pounds since he started!! He has been working out so hard 2-3 times a day!
He started a weight loss blog back even before Christmas but hasn't really kept up with it for a while. He is going to update it more often now and just wanted all of you who are invited to see it (it's kinda personal) know to check it out!! If you want an invite to see it, let him know. Thanks for all your love and support!!
I am so proud of Josh and just the person he is! Fat or skinny...it doesn't matter, I love him more than life and am so blessed to call him mine!! Love you Honey!

Softball Game

Josh had his second work softball game tonight. It was cancelled last week due to rain and it rained again today but not enough to cancel the games. His team got beat again. He got 2 good hits this game and was the only one to touch home base. It was FREEZING outside, too! It felt like October out there! This game wasn't as bad as the last game, but hopefully the next game will be better!
I forgot to mention that Tara had comfy stadium chairs for us to sit on because the bleachers are always so cold and the wonderful butterfly blanket of warmth! If it wasn't for her bringing those we would have had to watch the game from the car!! Thanks Tara!

Happy Birthday Lu!!

Happy Birthday to Elizabeth! She is the cutest, sweetest little girl and I love her so much! I love watching her dance and have fun. She is full of spunk, like her mom, and is so much fun to be around! Elizabeth is 6 today and I can't believe she is that old. In my mind she is still 3. She is so smart and is doing really well in school. I miss being in the daily lives of her and her two brothers, Noah and DJ. Love you Lu! Have a great Birthday!! Ringo, Wrinkles, Meow and Sammy all say Happy Birthday, too!!

Softball, Walks and Car Rides

On Thursday, Josh and Cody had their first softball game for work. They got their butts whooped but they had fun. Josh only got to hit once the entire game. Hopefully their team will want to have a practice or two now!!
On Saturday, Brittiney and I took the dogs for a walk by the river at the golf course. I just took Wrinkles to begin with because she is a more mellow dog than Ringo is. She has so much fun and thought it was great. At first she wanted to run but by the end of the walk she was lagging behind me. It was so pretty and green! Later that night she was limping around and I felt horrible. I thought she had torn up the pads of her feet, but she was fine. Wrinkles was so happy to go for a car ride! Daisy loves the water!
Today, Josh and I went for a ride up the canyon and took the dogs to get out of our hot house. Ringo thought he was in Heaven, I know it's bad to let your dogs put their heads out the window in case something flies in their eyes or ears, but he loved it!

Wrinkles loves to be up front!

Happy Mom's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's in my life. I hope you all have a great day filled with fun with your kids. Happy Mother's Day to my mom. She is one of my best friends and I am so thankful for her. She's the best mom a girl could want, she has supported me all through my life and been there when I needed her. She got me through the busy dance years, we got through the rough "I hate you" teenage years and we are stronger because of it. I love you mom!

Random Pictures

So here are some random pictures of us and the animals...Wrinkles was outside laying in the dirt today while I was cleaning my car. She always has to dig a hole and lay in it all summer. I didn't think she would dig in our yard because we have so much dirt around the edges but she did, and where did she dig? Right in the middle of my flower bed in between the tulips!! She loves the cool dirt!

Ups and Downs

This has been a crazy week!! Last Thursday, Josh and I both took our CNA tests and found out on Monday that we both passed. So we are officially CNAs again. Our work was threatening to suspend Josh until he got it so we were relieved when he passed. We also get pay raises, not much, but at least we get them.

Then on Wednesday, the CEO of the company Josh and I work for came and told the Day Center, which is where I work, that they are closing us down and June 27th is our last operating day. Apparently we don't make enough money for a non-profit organization...explain that one to me!! Now I get to find another job...ugh! It's really sad and I can't help but wonder what will happen to all of the elderly that I take care of and what their families are going to do. It is a really rotten situation! But Josh is fine, his job is safe.

Tonight the Jazz played their sixth game against the Houston Rockets. They had to win tonight or go back to Houston and try to win game seven to move on to the second round. After a tense game the Jazz won! It was a very interesting game with lots of point changes and horrible calls by the refs. But they won and go play the Lakers on Sunday in the second round of the playoffs! Looks like T-Mac is still the second round virgin!! Yeah Jazz!
