Ringo? RINGO? Where are you?!

So today I was outside moving the sprinkler around and I left the back door open with the screen door shut. I came back in the front door and shut the back door. I got on my computer, Josh sat down to play Halo and asked "Where's my boy?" usually Ringo will come running, he loves to sit on the couch with us. He didn't come and I just thought he was asleep somewhere and didn't hear Josh. Well 20-30 minutes later, Josh asked again "Where's Ringo?" No Ringo! So I ran out the front door thinking we would find him dead in the middle of the street or not find him at all. Well he came running at me from the neighbors' back porch! He was panting and dirty. Now, when Ringo was a puppy, we used to live in Wellsville on a farm and we would let him out to see if he would stay with us. He would for a minute and then he would take off up the road as fast as his spotted legs could take him. We would have to get in the car and drive to him and he would get in the car. So I was surprised to see that he didn't run anywhere. I think he chased one of the neighborhood cats though. He's got a scratch on his nose. So Josh and I thought we would get his ball and play fetch with him for a while since he was being so good and not running. He was exhausted so he only caught the ball twice and then rolled and laid in the shade. Our street has a big ditch that water runs down all summer and there is a little canal by the side of our house that it runs into, not sure why, but it was all muddy and that is where he goes to lay down!! We thought he was going into a seizure because he was acting weird and couldn't get comfortable trying to lay down in the water and mud, he does have epilepsy and has had 2 seizures in the last 9 months that we know of. But he was fine, just hot and thirsty. We had to spray him off before he came in the house, he was not happy about that! I'm so glad he didn't run anywhere and is okay!!

hey, that is a terrifying feeling when you think your dog is gone for good! Im glad he's ok. to answer your question, yes Dyna gets pretty irritated by the toads, but it's too deep for her to get down there! :)
