How We Got Sammy

Sammy is the baby of the family. He is almost 1 year old. We also got him from my mom. He was from the last litter my mom's cat Jasmine had. She died about a month ago. He was born while we were all gone to a Christmas party up in Heber, Ut. When my mom got home the kitties were born. We went to my mom's on Christmas and Josh picked him out. He was so cute. Just this little puff ball. Then after about a week Josh decided he didn't want him anymore. But you can't tell me we can get an animal and then tell me we can't. So I still got him. He was so scared when he came to our house he would sit on my shoulder as I walked around the house and he would sleep right under my chin at night. He did not like the big dogs and Meow wasn't very nice to him. But now he picks on Meow and is bigger than her. He is such a purrer. Our family is complete with him.

How We Got Meow

Meow is 4 years old. We got her from my mom. She is a light calico cat and has long hair. She is not very social. She doesn't like to be touched unless it's on her terms or else she will claw you good. I have had many scratches from her. But lately she is becoming more friendly. She loves to give Ringo baths and to lightly sratch me in the middle of the night so I will pet her.

How We Got Ringo

Josh always wanted a Dalmatian and when he was younger he had one for about one day. But he couldn't have him at the apartments he lived in so he had to give him away. Then one day Josh was looking at the classifieds and there was a listing for a 4 1/2 month old male Dalmatian. We went to see him and he came running out to us, this adorable, awkward puppy. He peed all over my feet and I was wearing flip flops!!! At that moment we knew we wanted him so he came home with us. He was this cute, big puppy and he sat on my lap all the way home. Josh was so excited to have his Dalmatian. He was a hard puppy. He would make me cry cause he would bite and pull my hair. He scratched a hole in the wall of my in-laws home. He scratched holes in the carpet. He ate my cell phone. He scratched a hole in our mattress. He was BAD!!! When we would take him out to potty he had to be on a leash, and he would run so fast that it felt like our arms were going to be pulled out of the socket. Josh has said that if it weren't for me he would have gave Ringo away cause he was so much to handle, but now he is our baby boy. He is 5 years old now. He sleeps in bed with us along with all the other animals. He is on a very tight schedule of eating and pooping by his own choice. He is my alarm clock in the morning cause he eats right when I get up. At 6 am he starts getting restless and will sit up and stare at me. Then if I don't get up he will start to jump around on the bed to make sure I get up. At night he is a spaz, too. Starting at about 6 pm he starts to follow me around the house, right under my feet until it is 6:30 then he eats. He is always so happy after he eats. In the morning after we've gone outside he will come get back in bed and roll around and make his funny noises. He is such a fun dog. He is very cuddly. He always wants to be in between his mom and dad. He can drive us crazy but life wouldn't be the same without him!

How We Got Wrinkles

Wrinkles is the oldest so I will start with her. She is a Shar-Pei/Lab mix. She is almost 8 years old. I got her in June of 2001. I had wanted a Shar-Pei ever since I saw my uncle's Shar-Pei. I thought they were so cute because of their wrinkly skin. I saw an ad in the paper one day saying " Wrinkles needs a new owner, her's went to jail" and then it gave a description of her. So I called on her and drove up state to where she was and got her. I was so happy to get her. She was so cute. I just fell in love with her. The woman who Wrinkles was living with gave me the background on Wrinkles. She said Wrinkles lived with her husband who she was seperated from. She also said her husband had abused Wrinkles. He would pick her up and throw her across the linoleum floor and she would slam into the cupboards in his kitchen. And to this day whenever we move and there is a slippery floor she won't walk on it for a few days unless she has to, and even then she does it very slowly and keeps her distance from anybody. But once she's used to it she is fine and will jump on the floor to play with her brother and sister kitties. He spray painted her pink for Halloween the year before and there was still some pink paint in her tail. I felt so bad for her and was excited to get her home where I could take care of her. She is such a good, sweet dog. She still gets nervous around men but will eventually warm up to them. She LOVES her Grandpa. He just spoils her and she gets so excited when he and Grandma come over. Josh and I just love her.

All You Need Is Love

This is a page about two humans and four tails. We are Josh and Kandice (the humans), Ringo and Wrinkles (the dogs) and Meow and Sammy (the cats). Josh and I have been married for over 4 years now and have been together for 6 years. It doesn't seem like it's been that long and yet it seems like it's been forever. I am so blessed to have Josh as my husband. He is the best husband a girl could wish for. All You Need Is Love has been our motto since day one and Josh is a HUGE Beatles fan, so it just fits. We are excited to share our lives with all of our friends and family!!!
