Baby Shower, Bridal Shower, Birthdays and Lightning Oh My!

It's been a busy weekend. We had my sister's bridal shower on Saturday. My cousin's wife also had her baby shower Saturday. We found out that we had scheduled the showers on the same day and almost the same time after we had already sent out invitations. But we got it worked out and had a great day. We went down to Brigham to the baby shower for Joanna. She is so cute and we love her, she's hilarious. My mom, Chelsie and I headed back up to Franklin to get the shower set up.

We were in my Grandma's van and we checked to see what she had in the CD player, it was the Mamma Mia soundtrack. My sister and I started singing songs and I was texting Josh. When I shut my phone my mom thought I was snapping my fingers, we laughed and laughed. Then I started to sing louder (I'm not a good singer) and snap my fingers while doing some awesome chair dancing. The three of us were laughing so hard, we had make-up running down our faces. It was hilarious and we needed a good laugh.

We got up to Franklin and had a good time at Chelsie's shower. We played a game that I had to play at my bridal shower. A while ago, I emailed Brian, Chelsie's fiance, and asked what all his favorite things are like color, food, dessert, movie, all that kind of stuff. Chelsie had to answer all the questions and for every wrong answer she got, she had to put a whole piece of Double Bubble bubble gum in her mouth. She thinks Brian lied on all his answers cause her wad of bubble gum was HUGE!! But I also asked Brian the same questions about Chelsie in the email and he got most of them right! She got a lot of nice, fun things at her shower. We made yummy strawberry cupcakes for the refreshments, I didn't get a close up picture of them, but they were cute.

It was also Chelsie's 22nd birthday yesterday so she had a very busy day. We all sang Happy Birthday to her.

When we were on our way to Brigham yesterday morning, Josh texted me from work to tell me that the assisted living center I work at was struck by lightning the night before. I saw that Nicole, my co-worker/supervisor had called me at about 10:30 pm the night before so I called her to find out what happened. She said lightning hit at about 6 pm and they had to move everyone out of the building. A lot went over to Sunshine Terrace, a few went to family members homes until we are let back in, hopefully in the next couple of days. It sounds like it was mayhem getting everyone situated and it went well into the night time hours. No one was hurt amazingly!

Also,today is my Grandma Pat's birthday. Happy Birthday Grandma, I love you!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my Dad. I love you Dad. Thanks for everything you have done and continue to do for Josh and I and for your family. I am so thankful you're my Dad, you're the BEST!

Catch Up

I've been in a blogging funk lately, but I'm back. Let's see, what have we been up to? Well, Josh and I went to see Wolverine last week.

I'm not really into the sci-fi movies but Josh got me into the X-Men movies a long time ago and I love them. Wolverine was good, I love Hugh Jackman. I was hoping for more of Ryan Reynolds but oh well. It left us with more questions but it was a good movie. We hadn't been to a movie for a while so it was really fun to go.

Last weekend, we helped my brother and sister in law move all in one day. Luckily I had to work that day, but Josh was a good boy and helped them all day long. When I got off work, I met my mom and sister, who was here for the weekend, to take more bridal pictures. We got some really cute ones. Then had to go shopping for more wedding stuff. We've got 5 weeks til the wedding and everything is pretty much done!

And Branson is growing like a weed. He's 7 months old now and is adorable. He is going to be a big brother when he turns 1! His little brother or sister is due November 3rd. Branson was due November 2nd but he came earlier. They should find out this month what they are having.

Josh is still on the quest for a job. Hopefully, he'll find one soon. We've started going back to church in the last few weeks which has been good for us. It was hard at first but it's getting easier. We've only gone to sacrament so far, we get nervous going to the other classes because we don't know anyone, but we're not going to know anyone unless we go right? We feel a lot better once we've gone and we're on our way to be sealed together for eternity so that makes us happy.

Happy Birthday Noah!

Today is Noah's 9th birthday. He's such a great kid. He has such a soft heart and is so sensitive. He is like me, an animal lover. He is an awesome baseball player and is the pitcher for his team this year. I love the sweet boy so much. Everytime I see him he looks more like a older kid instead of a little boy. I miss seeing these kids all the time, I loved hanging out with them every day. I miss seeing how great of a big brother Noah is to his little brother and sister. He's an awesome kid!

Happy Birthday Elizabeth!

Today is Lu's 7th birthday, Shannon's kids have a crazy birthday week with a birthday every other day. I can't believe she is 7 already, kids grow up too quick! When I started babysitting for Shannon DJ was 4 months old, Lu was 3 and Noah was 5. I love this little girl so much and love the little sassy attitude she's developed, she's hilarious. I'm glad I got to see her today since Josh had a job interview is SLC. I kept trying to convince her she was 5 still but that didn't work. She's our funny girl who has always had a New York accent and we can't figure out how she got it.

Happy Birthday Lu. I love you, you're my favorite girl!

Also, while we were at Shannon's, Elizabeth showed me the bird's nest outside their kitchen window with a momma or daddy sitting in the nest. Then they flew away and look what was inside! There are two hatched babies and atleast one blue egg still in there. So dang cute! I love the robin's blue egg color. I want a room that color someday.

Today is my best buddy's 4th birthday. I love this kid so much, I feel like I birthed him and he is mine. But Shannon is good enough to share him with me! I miss living by these kids and playing with them every day. We had so much fun and did so many fun things together. I love them all so much.


Happy Birthday Bub!! I wish I was celebrating with you today and could give you a big hug and a kiss. I love you more!!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there. I hope you all had a great day.

I spent the day with my mom driving back from Twin Falls after we went up there for the weekend to see my sister and her fiance to take engagement and bridal pictures. We had a great time together. It's good to spend time with my mom, just the two of us. It doesn't happen very often! It was tons of fun being with Chelsie and Brian and taking over 500 pictures between the two of us! My sister's dress is beautiful and she looks amazing in it. Brian was making us laugh so much, he such a good sport. We saw this sweet duck couple while we were taking pictures. They were so cute.

We went to see the Shoshone Falls...they were so pretty.

We went to Applebee's Saturday night to eat and it was yummy, we ate way too much food though!

My mom and I got this desset to share, it's called the Mile High Pie, and it seriously was high. It was so yummy.

Happy Mother's Day to my mom. Mom, I love you. Thank you for being such a great mom to me. I'm so thankful for the relationship we have and for being able to have my mom as my friend, you're the best!
Happy Mother's Day to my second mom. Rosie, thank you for giving me your son. You're a wonderful mom and it shows in how you raised Josh. Thank you for welcoming me into your family and making me feel so welcome and loved. I love you, you're the best!
