Weekend Happenings

We started our weekend by helping Cody and Tara move a TV they got from one of the doctor's we work for.  We had to drive out to his house, which was clear out in BFE, to get the TV.  It was fa-reezing outside, especially on the mountain Welter lives on.  The boys didn't have any problem getting the TV out of the house and into Cody's truck.  We were outside for a bit while Cody was getting the TV tied down, Tara and I were loving Welter's coon hound he recently got.  She was so sweet and so pretty!  His other dog wasn't too fond of us.  He's quite protective of his house and had to be muzzled.  I just wanted to pet and love him but he wasn't having it!  After the TV got tied down good and tight, we got to go on a tour of Welter's house.  It's very big and nice.  He had an antique fire place that I was drooling over, I loved it.  The wood work on it was beautiful!  He has pool room with a pool, hot tub and a big TV mounted on the wall, that we all desperately want to have Jazz parties in!
We got the TV back to Cody and Tara's and the boys had the awesome job of getting the huge TV up the stairs and into Atty's room!  They got it up the stairs then had to figure out how to get it over the banister.
So what do ya do?  Take it off!  So Tara got the screwdriver out and began taking the screws out of the wall.  Well the ones on the wall came out fine but the ones in the floor were tough!  Tara had to get the power drill out!  She finally got it off and they moved the TV into Atty's room.  He was so excited, grinning from ear to ear!
We order some pizza for lunch and the boys played Halo while Tara tried to get something to work on my laptop.  It didn't work so we gave up.  It was lots of work but lots of fun hanging out with the besties!

We went home and did our taxes, I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I hate doing them.  I am excited to get some money back this year, though.  We've already decided what toys were going to get and I CAN'T WAIT!
We stayed up late watching the Olympics last night, like every night!  I'm loving watching them.  Nothing gets my heart beating like the speed skating and watch Apollo Ohno!  He's so fun to watch.
It was awesome seeing Shaun White win gold in the half pipe.  His tricks are ca-razy!
 GO TEAM USA!
I was supposed to go down to Salt Lake today to watch Shannon's kids sing at the Interfaith Roundtable at Temple Square.  Josh's mom was coming to get me and take me back down there.  While she was on her way, plans changed and the kids were not going to sing.  So we decided to go out to dinner for my birthday while she was up here.  She's such a great mom-in-law and I love her so much.  It was great to get to see her for a few hours and catch up.

28

Happy Birthday to me!  I  am turning 28 today and even though I say it every year I still feel like I'm 21!  We kind of started my birthday celebration at my parent's house on Sunday when my sister and brother in law were home for the weekend.    I've had a great birthday.  Tara got me a very cute purse, a manicure set and a lotion set.  She's like me and can't wait to give someone a present so she gave me my birthday present yesterday morning at work!  She's so fun and I'm so glad I get to work with her and we've become so close.
I tried to leave work early today so I could spend some time with Josh before he had to go to school.  Work got kind of crazy this afternoon when it should have been slowing down.  So when I did finally leave at about 4, I got out to my car and my battery was dead, yep I left my lights on.  So  I had to go back in and see if Tara could jump start my car.  We couldn't find her jumper cables and luckily Nicole had some so we used them.  Oh, Tara what would I do without you?!  She also made me a delicious dinner tonight.  We hurried and ate before Josh had to get to school.  Josh is so sweet, he felt so bad that he had to go to school on my birthday.  He always wants to make things so special, I'm such a lucky girl!
So since he is at school tonight I've been sitting on the couch watching the Olympics, the same thing I've done since Friday night!  I loved the Opening Ceremonies, it was very cool.
We are going to maybe go down to Salt Lake this weekend sometime to have dinner with Josh's mom, Shannon and the kids for my birthday.
Thank you everyone for the calls, texts, presents and cards.  I love you all!

Valentine's Weekend

We started the weekend off by going to Gavin's blessing on Saturday up in Franklin.  I was so happy to be able to be there for his since I wasn't able to be a Branson's.
After the blessing we all went down to Golden Corral for lunch with our family and Brittiney's family.  We had a fun lunch and Branson had tons of fun eating and making a mess!
This morning, Josh surprised me with daisies, doughnuts and chocolate milk when he got home from work.  He's the best thing ever, I love you Honey!
We spent the morning hanging out and catching up on our Thursday night TV and watching the Olympics.  We went up to my parents' house tonight for dinner.  Chelsie and Brian came home for the blessing so it was lots of fun to have everyone all together.  We had a yummy dinner for my birthday and Valentine's day.
We sat around and reminisced and laughed and laughed!  Then we decided to watch Zombieland.  Josh and I love that movie!
It was a great weekend, they always end too soon!
Happy Valentine's day my love.  There aren't words to express how much I love you.  I could say it all day and it still wouldn't be enough.   I love you and I am so blessed to have you as mine.

Ringo Kisses

We love our Ringo boy.  I entered this picture of us in the I Heart Faces photo challenge.  It's one of my favorite pictures we've ever taken.

Kids, Kids, Kids!

Josh and I went down to Draper today to go to Elizabeth's school program with Shannon.  It was lots of fun to watch her.  It was their rehearsal today and tomorrow is the big one.  Elizabeth's dad, Arnold and Josh's mom, Rosie are going tomorrow.
After the singing part of the program they had a little dancing part.  When they asked the kids to go get their mom or dad to come dance with them, Lu came and got me to dance with her.
We did the waltz
They did some more dances and then Elizabeth came to get me to do the Macarena and the Hokie Pokie.  It was tons of fun to dance with her.
The funniest part of the day was when we were all in the car going back to Shannon's house after the program. We were talking about Noah's baseball tournament in St. George in March and Shannon was telling him he wouldn't be going if he wasn't nice to Elizabeth and Elizabeth will go in his place to play.  DJ said the Lu couldn't go play because "Bizabef is a woman!".  We were laughing so hard, then he kept saying "Put your hands up, you're a woman!".  Oh, the mind of a 4 year old!  It was a quick trip but a fun one with my favorite kids!
I'm really starting to wonder why we live in Logan after being down in Draper.  I miss living down there a lot. Especially after being down there today when it was warm and no snow.  Then you come back up here and it's an ice box with a foot of snow!  Not fair.  I'm so sick of being cold!
Last Saturday I went up to my mom's to help her watch Branson and Gavin.  I was happy to be able to spend some time with the boys.  I don't see them as much as I would like even though they only live 20 miles away.! Gavin's getting so big and is so cute!  I didn't get a picture of Branson because he was ALL over the place, he's such a busy body.
Josh and I are ready to turn in our application for adoption.  We want to adopt a baby from Haiti, well from anywhere really, but with the crisis in Haiti right now we really want to save a child from there.  It scares us and we know it could be 3 years before we actually get one and it's so expensive, but it's something we both want to do.  I think we are ready to start trying to get pregnant again, too.  After our miscarriage and the depression of having my period come every month, I had to stop.  I just couldn't mentally take it anymore.  I am now ready to start that journey all over again and we'll see where we go.  One way or another we want a baby and have had that want for 5 years now.
Now onto our children, or furbabies, that we do have.  Yoko is getting big and is crazy.
We got a cat bed a while ago and put it by our bed, no one touched it.  Then I moved it out into the living  room and Meow loves it.  She lies in it all the time.
Ringo is the same, just our sweet boy.
Wrinkles is getting old, she turned 10 in January.  It makes me sad to see her get older because I don't know I'm going to do when she dies, it makes me cry just thinking of it.  She's the best dog and I can't believe I've had her for 8 1/2 years already.
Our animals drive me crazy but I'm so thankful for them.
