Then Again, Maybe Not

Josh and I have the idea of going mountain biking this summer up at Sundance. We went up there for our anniversary a couple of years ago, it was summer, and they have the ski lifts running and you can ride up to the top and back down, it's beautiful. They rent mountain bikes out and you put them on the back of the lift, go up the mountain and then ride down. We thought it the looked like so much fun, kinda scary but fun. Anniversary 2007

Josh and I went for a bike ride today at the golf course and now I'm thinking twice about riding down a mountain.
If I fall off a bike when I'm not moving and do this to myself, imagine what I'd to do myself going fast down a mountain with big boulders sticking out. In my defense though, it wasn't my bike and I haven't been on a bike in over 10 years. Lame, I know.

Over The Weekend

Josh went to Elizabeth's dance competition with me on Saturday. Elizabeth did a great job again, and so did her team. It's so fun watching her dance and watching her cheer on her team mates during their solos, she definitely loves it.

And did Josh enjoy the competition?

Yes he did!

My little sis was here again this weekend doing more wedding planning. They got a lot done so that's good. I only saw her for about an hour after we got home from SLC but it was good to see her.

Josh and I went up to my parents' house for dinner on Sunday and on the way up to Franklin we had rain, snow, hail and sunshine all within 20 miles!! Crazy weather, but that's what we expect here, we can get the 4 seasons in one day!

Sammy

Our sweet cat, Sammy passed away today. We don't know what happened, Josh just found him at about 7:30 this morning. He called me at work and told me he needed me to come home ASAP, so the nurse told me to go home. Josh had me scared with the tone of his voice and he told me not to talk to anyone until I got home. I came in the door and Josh was sobbing and he told me Sammy had died. I went down to see him where Josh found him and we just cried. He is my baby and is such a sweet cat with a spunky personality. My mom and dad came down to help us with him since neither one of us could pick him up. My dad brought a box and a blanket to wrap him in. Once my dad got him in the box, I went to say my "see ya later's" to Sammy. He looks like he was just playing with something and fell asleep.
I last saw him at 4:17 this morning when he woke me up by scratching on the heat vent in our bedroom like he has done a lot. I was irritated with him and was thinking of something I could throw at him because I had to get up in 15 minutes and my sleep is very important. When I got up at 4:30 am to take the dogs out and feed the cats before I got ready for work, I didn't see him. I thought it was weird but I didn't have time to look for him, I just thought he was asleep somewhere.

Elizabeth and DJ always wanted to go to our house to see Sammy, or Yammy as DJ called him, when we lived in Sandy. Elizabeth LOVED him. She can't have a cat because her mom is allergic to them so I told her Sammy could be her cat but he lived at our house.
He was such a lovey cat, and was into everything. We will miss him so much. It's taken awhile for it to really hit me that he's gone and now our house feels weird, we just aren't complete anymore. We will miss his BIG blue eyes, and his motor of a purrer, seriously, it was loud. I'm going to miss him waking me up in the middle of the night sitting by my head, purring in my ear, waiting for some midnight love. I'm going to miss hearing him cry for a treat when I give the dogs a bone and just about tripping over him on my way downstairs to give him his treat. I'm going to miss his kitty kisses, he was good at it. Meow will be lonely now, she doesn't have her little brother to fight with and to love anymore. Wrinkles will miss playing with him, she loves to jump at him wanting him to play with her and nibbling on his back. Ringo will miss Sammy waking him up in the middle of the night wanting some love, too. Ringo always responded back with a growl.
We love you so much Sammy, Yammy, Yammer, Sammy Sammersons, Samson and everything else we called you. I know you'll stay with us. Keep your brothers and sister company, they will miss you.

Happy Easter

I went to Baby Animal Day yesterday with Brittiney and Branson. It was quite crowded but lots of fun things to see. It was a fairly nice day but as we were leaving big rain clouds started rolling in. Branson liked touching all the animals. There were baby cows, goats, sheep, chicks, ducks, bunnies and lots more.
Branson got to have his picture taken with the creepy Easter Bunny.
Last night, we had Easter dinner up at my mom and dad's. My mom got all of us bunny ears to wear while we were coloring Easter eggs and we couldn't color them unless we had our ears on. It was pretty funny, the boys DID NOT want to wear them but they were good boys and gave in.
The cute "Bunny Boys", Jade was "sad bunny" with his down-turned ears.

Josh's creativity at it's best!
Branson had to wear the ears too, he looks much cuter in them than the rest of us!

And since it's Easter I am so grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the sacrifices he made for me. I'm so grateful for the atonement and that I will live with Him again. I'm grateful I can and will be married to Josh for time and all eternity and we will have a forever family. That is such a comfort to me especially right now in our lives.

Watch this.

Last Weekend

I haven't posted in a while, not much going on around here. But, last weekend I did go down to Spanish Fork to go to Lu's dance competition. She had her duet on Friday afternoon, so after work I hurried down there to see her perform. We had so much fun and her duet is so cute! She did such a great job.
Here's the cute girl rehearsing her duet in the hall.

Here she is with Shanalee, who is 15 and doing the duet with Elizabeth. She is an AMAZING dancer, seriously I've never seen anyone like her. She choreographed their duet and it is so dang cute.

We made a girls night out of it with me, Shannon, Elizabeth's mom and my MIL Rosie. We went to Cracker Barrell to eat dinner Friday night and stayed the night in a hotel in Springville. We had a great time at dinner, even though the service wasn't that great, then made a late night stop to Wal Mart to get some things we forgot and ended up all getting new jammies. We laughed and laughed and had so much fun. Elizabeth had the team competition early Saturday morning so we had to get going really early. The team competition was really fun. Elizabeth's team did 3 dances and did them all great. I played "hair dresser" for a couple of girls whose hair wasn't quite right. I love being at a dance competition, I love the feeling in the air, the smell of hair spray, make up, and spandex. I'm in my element!!
After Lu got done with her last dance, I hurried back home to go bridesmaid dress shopping with my little sister who was here for the weekend doing some more wedding planning. We shopped for a VERY long time trying to find the perfect dress. Just as we were ready to go get something for dinner we found it, a cute yellow sundress, perfect for a July wedding!! We went out to eat at Mandarin Garden and had a good time together.
I had a great weekend spending time with the people I love the most!

Here's a video of the duet if you want to watch it (don't mind the screaming, I get a little excited when I watch her dance).
