One Great Man's Day

Today is my Dad's birthday. So Happy Birthday to such an amazing father! I am so blessed to have him as my Dad, he is ALWAYS there for Josh and I. Nothing is more important to him than his family, he is so devoted to us. He has been over at our house countless times this past month trying to help us fix a leaky faucet in our bathtub that is seriously like 100 years old and a pain in the butt to fix! He's also helped me get the lake of water out of my basement this past week. He's such a great guy and I'm so proud to call him Dad. I love you Dad and hope you had a great day. Looking forward to Sunday Birthday Dinner!!

Happy Birthday Pop!

It's Here!

Look what I found in my backyard. I saw the poor little things poking their beautiful selves through the leaves in the flower bed I didn't get raked up last year. So since the weather was really nice I decided to put my iPod in my ears and get some yard work done. It felt so good to be outside in the warmth of the sun. Spring is HERE!
And Wrinkles LOVED it! There is nothing better to this sweet girl than being out in the sunshine all summer long. She knew it was getting warmer outside and has been begging to be out there. She's getting older now and I think she may be getting a little arthritis so the warm sun feels really good to her.

Love At Home

On Sunday, I went down to Spanish Fork to see my grandma Pat and all of my aunts and my uncle. Josh stayed home because he has had a little bit of the flu. It was so fun to see everyone and to visit. My uncle Jedd and his wife KayCee had a baby boy, Bennett, about a month before Jade and Brit had Branson and then my aunt Aspen and her husband Corby had a baby boy, River, about a month after Branson was born so we got the three new babies together for the first time. They are all so cute and it was hilarious when we laid them all out on the blanket together. Bennett is getting really good at rolling over and he kept rolling toward Branson and once he found him, he was fascinated by him. Bennett kept putting his hands on Branson's face and then was putting his fingers in Branson's mouth! And Branson didn't care! They were adorable. We all visited and ate lots of yummy food. We watched Sober House and American Idol. I love seeing that side of the family, we always have so much fun.

We took some family pictures while most everyone was there, we were missing my sister, my dad, Josh and my uncle Lynn and his family who live in Minnesota. My Grandma's husband wasn't there either because he just had a total hip replacement a couple of weeks ago. I hope you get feeling better soon, Earl.

We need to get together more often. I love all my cousins and can't believe how big they are all getting! It makes me feel so old. I'm the oldest grandchild on that side and River is the youngest grandchild right now with hopefully more to come! I love you all!

You've GOT To Be Kidding Me!!

What the hell is going on?! The snow was melted, it was getting warmer, the sun was shining, and you could definitely feel spring in the air. Now I wake up today to this

I'm so sick of winter, like I said before I need the warm sunshine. I need it for my sanity. The winter is so depressing.

It's been snowing since last night and it's still snowing and it's almost 6 pm!!

I hope it all melts away soon. If you live in Utah, you can have all four seasons in one day. Go away snow, spring come see me!!

I Need Warm Sunshine!

I don't know why but for some reason this last month has dragged on and on. It must be because I'm so sick and tired of winter but it just keeps lingering. I hate this time of year. All the snow in our yard has finally melted and now it's all muddy, that means spring is hopefully coming! I want to wear my flip flops and feel the sunshine when I go outside. It's been sunny a couple of days this week up here in the CV, so that's been nice and it felt so good.
I need to get going back to the gym and soon because swim suit season is coming and if Josh and I want to attempt to run at least a half marathon this summer,we seriously need to get training for it!

Josh got a job at LDS Hospital and he starts Thursday night, he's working 12 hour graveyard shifts. I feel bad for him having to work all night, but he's excited.

My brother had hernia surgery today and is doing good. He went in to surgery at about 10:45 am and was home by 3 pm, drive through surgery! Josh and I went over to see him today and had dinner with them. He doesn't act like he just got out of surgery. The drugs must be good! When we were little, my mom would always buy us a video game or something when we were sick so Jade texted her today and asked if he got a video game. So she went and got him a month of unlimited video game rentals. Between that and WOW he should have no problem passing by these next 3 weeks! Take it easy, Jade!
