Tropic Thunder

We went to see this movie tonight. It is the funniest movie I have seen in a long time. It's one of those movies that you could watch over and over and always find something you didn't notice before. The cast did such a good job. We went with Cody and Tara. Thanks guys for going with us, it was so fun!

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.

Are you watching these?
Because they are so good! It's awesome that we can come together as a world and compete against each other in one city! I love the Olympics whether is summer or winter. Josh and I went to the Olympics in 2002 when they were in SLC. We didn't see any events but did catch Alanis Morissette when she performed for the Olympics. It was such a cool atmosphere that all the best athletes in the world were there. I just think they are amazing!

Have you seen this guy?

What he is accomplishing is going down in history! That is so cool to me. He is a machine in the water and now has his 11th Olympic gold medal. He now has the title of the greatest Olympian of all time with all his gold medals. He is going for 8 gold in Beijing. What an amazing athlete! I love watching him swim, it is beautiful to watch him do the turns and dolphin kick! I love Michael Phelps!

And then there was this event...

The Chinese women's team did deserve the win in the gymnastics, but I don't think they were completely honest in their ages. To compete in Olympic gymnastics you have to turn 16 in the calendar year of the Olympics...some of these Chinese girls looked 12 or 13. They said that their passports claimed they were of age but I don't think they were fooling many people. They were very good though, the Chinese produce great gymnasts. Injuries are what killed us in this event.

These guys have been fun to watch so far too...

These Olympics are shaping up to be very fun to watch, they always make me cry! I love being American and supporting our team.

Go USA!

Anniversary Celebration

Josh and I wanted to do something fun for our anniversary this year since we haven't done anything but going out to dinner on our anniversary since our honeymoon, when we went to San Diego. So we went down to Salt Lake for the weekend. We went on Saturday and got home today. We did a lot of relaxing and eating! Saturday night we went to The Melting Pot...it was YUMMY! We love that place!

The dancing lobster tails!

Then we got to listen to a live band at the club,The Horny Toad, across the street from our hotel until midnight. That was NOT fun! We were on the 11th floor and could hear the music too well. The band was rehearsing when we got to our hotel at about 4 pm, so we got a double dose! We went to a Bee's game on Sunday. It was really fun! There is something so great and American about the feeling you get when you are a baseball fan and walk up the stairs into a baseball park and see the green field! I love it! We sat on the third base line and got baked in the heat. We didn't realize it would be that hot sitting there! It was a scorcher!! The Bee's were doing really good and it was fun to see them. We left after the fifth inning because we were so hot, I was dripping in sweat, but I didn't realize I was frying! We got back to the hotel and I saw how red I was. I am burnt, I don't have blisters though so I'm good! Then we packed up this morning and headed home. It's fun to go on vacations but it's better to come home! We missed our furbabies so much. Ringo and Wrinkles stayed up at my mom and dad's so we went up there to get them and Ringo was definitely ready to go home. He had fun playing with Roxy but he is like his parents, we are homebodies! Now he and Wrinkles have been passed out since we got home! It was a great little get-away! I hope everybody had a great weekend!

5 Years!!

It's been 5 years since I walked down the aisle...

...and married my best friend!

It's totally amazing to know you have found that perfect person, who you want to spend eternity with. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have what Josh and I have. He is truly my best friend, I'm so blessed that I found him when I did. I was a 19 year old punk and he was 25. I couldn't believe he was that old because he looked so much younger than that and still does. We met while working at the Day Center and I was immediately attracted to his blue eyes and dark brown hair. We were friends for a while and I got him to agree to go to a Britney Spears concert with me and my little sister...we didn't end up going, but just the fact that he would go was a huge plus for me! Our first "date" was watching my best friend Jessie's little girl. Reagan had to only be about 2-3 months old, and we just drove around Logan with her screaming in the back seat. We took her to Wal Mart thinking that would calm her down...it didn't! It was not your typical first date! But one you definitely remember! Then we hung out a lot buying Christmas presents for our families. On Christmas night of 2001, I had to work an overnight at the Day Center and Josh showed up. He was wearing this blue sweater and blue hat that made his eyes pop. I will always have that image in my mind until I die! I love it! Then he decided he wanted to move to Springville. I went down to see him his first weekend there and we had our first kiss, and our second and third and so on...that weekend did it for me. I thought, "this could be it." I thought his '66 Mustang was such a cool car, I loved that he loved Jewel, and he played the guitar and sang. One time at the Day Center, he was singing and our nurse asked him to play the Hope Floats song, To Make You Feel My Love by Garth Brooks, and I was smitten after hearing him play that. I wanted him to sing to me for the rest of my life. He is just an amazing guy and I love him more and more everyday. All You Need Is Love! I love you Honey!
