MMM...Crab Legs

With Josh's birthday being on Thursday and him having school that night we didn't do much for it.  So Cody and Tara wanted to have a surprise birthday party for him on Friday night.  Tara and I decided at work to make crab legs for him.  After work we went and got the legs and she took them home to cook them.  I had to make up an excuse for us to go over to their house without making him suspicious...not easy!  When we got there, they started singing Happy Birthday to him with candles burning on his birthday pie (he doesn't like cake...weird).  Then we devoured those delicious crab legs.

We had lots of fun hanging out with those guys, like always!  After dinner, the boys played Halo and Tara and looked funny things up on the internet.  Tara and I started watching videos on youtube of our favorite girl, Alanis Morissette.  When we first met we totally bonded because we both loved her.  So we sat and watched a bunch of DVDs she has of her, it was awesome!  We had so much fun and the boys even sang along with some of her songs!
We've got the best friends in the world and are so happy to have them in our lives.  We love you guys!

Happy Birthday My Love!

Thirty four years ago today my greatest blessing was born!  Happy Birthday to my best friend, the one who I get to spend the rest of my life with.

Josh's mom and little brother, Austin, came up last night and we all went out to dinner for Josh's birthday.  We went out to Texas Roadhouse.  Josh didn't sit on the saddle, unfortunately, he threatened all of us if we told them it was his birthday!  Dinner was great and it was lots of fun hanging out with them.

Happy Birthday my love!  I love you more than words could ever say.  You are my greatest blessing, I thank Heavenly Father for you everyday.  Marrying you was the best thing I've ever done.  You're the best!  I love you.

The Lovely Bones

Josh, Tara and I went to see this movie today.

I love the book and read it again last weekend to get ready for the movie because it had been a few years since I had read it.  The book is so heartbreaking and tragically sad.  The movie is, too.  They did a very good job with it.  They did leave a few of my favorite parts of the book out of the movie but I really liked it.  Tara and I both had a headache afterwards from quietly crying through the movie.  If you haven't read the book, I totally recommend it.  It's one of my favorites.
We had a lazy weekend.  Josh has been sick so he didn't work this weekend until tonight.  Now it's time to get ready for the upcoming week and Josh's birthday on Thursday!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Yesterday was my mom's birthday.  We went shopping for a bit before we went out to dinner at Chili's.  We had a really good time with her and my dad.  She's such a GREAT lady and I'm so glad she's my mom.

A couple of weeks ago, Tara convinced me to go to the eye doctor.  And while we were out shopping yesterday, we stopped and got my new glasses.  I definitely can see much better!  Things have edges and trees have branches!  I want to get some contacts next so I don't have to constantly have glasses on my face cause I look WEIRD in glasses!
