Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009

Well, I can't believe it's going to be 2009 already. Time goes by too fast. The year 2008 was an interesting one and can't wait for what 2009 will bring. We've got some things we want to do next year and hopefully we will accomplish all of them.

The major thing we want to do is run a marathon in Portland in October, we need to start training for it. I've heard of people losing toes and having their feet get messed up from all the running you do in training so I'm pretty excited for that! I think there is a half marathon in Bear Lake in June that we want to try before the big one in October. We also want to go to school and hopefully get pregnant. We've been working on that one for the past 4 years so we'll see where that goes. We're wondering if we should just not have kids and travel the rest of our lives! I could be a travel nurse and we could go all over the country and even the world but I don't know what Josh would do...he could be a singer where ever we go! I really have a strong desire to be a mother though. I believe that's what I was put on this Earth to do. We also want to adopt a baby at some point in our lives. I want to be a pediatric nurse and have lots of babies! I would love to work with the kids who have cancer, it would be hard but so rewarding at the same time. Or of course, work in the nursery with all the babies, that would be SO MUCH FUN!
We wish you all the best in 2009.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

White Christmas

When we were done with the Christmas celebration at my parents' house it was snowing so bad outside. Josh and I put the Jeep in 4 wheel drive and drove home. We couldn't see the road at all and people in their jacked up trucks were just cruising past us and then we couldn't see their tire tracks in the snow. I felt like we were in a snow globe after it is shaken up, when the snow is blowing in all different directions really fast. It was crazy! It took us an hour to get home from Franklin.
Here's what it looked like outside our house the next day, thankfully our neighbor snow blowed our walk way for us.
We've spent the last 3 days in the house on the couch. Josh has been taking care of me since I've been so sick. I finally feel better today, I can look at my computer screen with out my eyes popping out of their sockets! I was supposed to watch Branson last night but my mom watched him so I didn't get him sick. I missed out because I guess he was smiley all night long! But I'm going to start watching him for a couple of hours each night so I'm excited for that.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everybody! I hope you all have a magical, family, food, fun filled day!
Here is our special gift we got this year:

Our sweet nephew Branson. My mom and I took pictures for Jade, Brit and Branson over a month ago and wanted to get Branson in a stocking. I think they turned out so cute!

Josh and I are going up to my parents today. I've been sick for the past 3 days and today I finally feel like I might live. My voice is gone, my throat is sore and my nose is running but atleast I'm awake today and don't feel achy. I slept all day yesterday and most of the day before.

So we are going to go spend time with family, watch it snow, watch movies, eat yummy food and remember what this holiday is really for...the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Early Christmas

We celebrated Christmas early this year with my family. My little sister came home for the weekend so we did Christmas yesterday before we went to my Grandma's Christmas party. It was so fun hanging out with my fam, I love them all so much. We all got together at Jade and Brit's house in between their work schedules and it worked out really well. We all got some great gifts from our parents. They got all of us girls a hoodie and got the boys a drill set. My mom made us all a book about the story of our relationships with our spouses. They are so cute. My mom also made one for my dad about their relationship and all of us kids and he was so touched by it. It was sweet. Then for the big present my parents got Jade & Brit and Chelsie & Brian a new camera and it is awesome! They got us a gift card to Best Buy! Then Branson opened his presents, he is so cute!We laid Branson in the middle of all of his presents and he wasn't quite sure what to think!

Then we all went to my Grandma Lowe's Christmas party. Brittiney dressed Branson in his little Christmas outfit and he was so cute!
Santa came to the party and all the kids sat on his lap and then it was Branson's turn.Josh and I got two blankets and a new knife set from my Grandma. After the party was over with Josh and I hurried to Best Buy so we could buy the things we wanted. We both got a table to put our laptops on while we sit on the couch or in bed with them. They're great! Josh got a new mouse and I got an external hard drive. I'm so excited to transfer all my pictures and digi scrap stuff on to that! Now I just need my new camera and we both need new laptops!:) Yeah right! That won't be happening for a while but hopefully I'll get my new camera for my birthday!

I took Friday off work and am so glad I did because it snowed ALL day long and I LOVE being home when it's snowing! We went out to shovel and these cute birdie prints were on my porch.

It was a great weekend and was so fun to spend time with my family and to spend the weekend with Josh!

Our Little Christmas Party

December is a busy month in our family. We have a Christmas party every weekend, that's what you get when you have 4 sets of grandparents!! We were supposed to go down to Spanish Fork to my Grandma Pat's party on Saturday and then to Redmond to my Grandpa Christensen's on Sunday but because of the snow storm we didn't go. So we went up to my parents' house on Saturday to have our own little Christmas Party. We had dinner and watched Christmas Vacation. That is one of my favorite holiday movies and it's a tradition in our family to watch it at least once during the Christmas season. Jade and Brit rode up with us and we had lots of fun just hanging out. Branson is getting so big and is getting strong at holding his head up. He is also trying to suck his thumb (like his daddy did until he was 8!). He kept trying to stick his whole hand in his mouth and was sucking so loudly, we were laughing pretty hard at him!
He is also starting to smile more now when he is awake, especially when his momma changes his diaper. He used to hate to have his diaper changed and would scream but know I guess he likes it! Uncle Josh loves to hold him, until he cries, then he's done!We missed seeing our family that we would have seen if it weren't for the snow, but we had a good time with our little family.
Here's what our backyard looked like after it was done snowing. The dogs don't like it and I don't either. Except Ringo does like to eat the ice chunks, I know, he's weird.

Tara's Birthday

Last night Cody and Tara invited Josh and I to celebrate Tara's birthday. We went down to Salt Lake to go to Red Lobster and got to Temple Square to see the lights. We had so much fun with them. Red Lobster was yummy and the service was great! It seems like every time we go out with Cody and Tara something goes wrong. This time was so good. Our food was yummy and we got it pretty quick, we didn't have to wait forever. I think our luck is changing! Then we went to Temple Square, along with the rest of Utah, I think. Temple Square itself wasn't too bad but the parking was ridiculous!! I guess the Tabernacle Choir was putting on a Christmas concert so there was no parking. We had to park in Egypt and walk down some not so safe streets. It was a lot of fun though and not too cold. There aren't as many lights this year, though.

Thanks for inviting us guys, thanks for dinner, thanks for the memories! It was lots of fun!

Our Eplileptic Boy

On Wednesday afternoon, Ringo had his 5th seizure that we know of. Josh and I were sitting on the couch and Ringo got off one couch to come get on the other couch with us when I noticed he was acting weird. He got up in between us and we realized he was going into one. We just pet him and kept telling his it was okay. We've gotten pretty good at staying calm when he is having a seizure, the first time was so dang scary! It was Mother's Day a couple of years ago and Josh and I just cried while he was having it. We didn't know what was happening. It lasted about 5 minutes and it was terrifying. This one was the longest so far, it lasted about 10 minutes.
The vet has told us that Dalmatians are known to be eplileptic. This is what he looks like after he's done. He just passes out, after he gets a bone of course!!

Hangin' With Our Family

Josh's mom came home from Arizona for a couple of days. We went down to SLC on Wednesday to see her for a little while. It was so good to see her and spend some time with her. Josh's two little brother's were there, too. It was so fun to see them all. Shane brought his little boy, our nephew, who we haven't seen since July at his birthday party. He is getting so big and is such a funny kid.

Tycen loved looking at the pictures on Josh's phone, especially the pictures of our animals.

We went down again yesterday to see Rosie before she went back to Arizona. We just had a little get together at Uncle John's house again and watched the Jazz game. Uncle John has been asking Josh to bring his guitar and sing for him so he was our half time entertainment. Shannon's kids were so excited to hear Josh sing, DJ kept asking me when "Yosh was going to play his buitar" and wanted him to sing his favorite song "Ringo Bingo" about our dog. It's so fun hanging out with Josh's family. I'm so thankful I have such a great husband and a great family.
